Comand or AVIC-X1

Hi Guys

Hope all are well. Just need your input into the following.

I retro fitted a comand into my CLK 230K (2000 Model) last year. i'm quite happy with it but was just dissapointed at not being able to add an amp and subwoofer to it.

anyway i now have the oppotunity to get hold of a pioneer AVIC-X1 system. this also has all the naviagtion stuff but also allows the amp and subwoofer and also plays DVD's (good to keep the little one happy on long trips.

so should i replace the comand.

if so, how do i go about fixing the double Din i made to a single one?

and is anyone interested in buying a comand??

This will require some creativity! You can either buy a replacement console for your car (the bit that you took a saw to when you installed comand) or you can try to fix a shelf back into your existing console.

Hi Jagtar,

As long as your comand unit will be compatible with my car I would be interested to buy it from you. Do you have any model numbers and I will check with Alfie if it will fit.

Any idea on how much you want for it..?

the Comand number is A210 820 56 89. I'm not sure if i want to sell yet but if i do would want around £350

Not sure if it will fit a CLK, but I'm sure the supplier will have others and be able to guide you accordingly.
