Gentleman..will my comand disc 5.1 B6 782 3627 A211 827 93 59

upgrade to version 9.0 B6 782 3887 A211 827 21 64

just by taking the old one out and installing the new one? or do I need another upgrade disc to do it?

Also what extra features will the later disc give me please if any?

Yes it will.

There is a lot of mis-information around about these disk upgrades with some people claiming that a navigation drive update is mandatory or that you have to go through the updates sequentially to get to the latest version. Its rubbish.

The only problem there was that to go to V7 the navigation drive needed an update. From V8 onwards the update was included on the navigation disk.

There is a separate head unit update for the W211 E class NTG 1 which fixes some bugs in the head unit but this does not affect the navigation disk/drive.
