I have access to the VAG VCDS where i can check the ash content of the dpf, i suppose I would need to use STAR to do the same?

I have the icarsoft MBII, this has a whole section to do with DPF in the testing, however, I don't have a car with a DPF to see what exactly it offers.

I know some others on here have it too, maybe they can chip in?

In the E class coupe the colour display in the speedo is indicative of the newer 265 and 7g+ engine and gearbox the monochrome display in the speedo will more than likely be the 231.
If I stick to the speed limit in my 265 e-coupe it does over 50 mpg.
It has also slain many vag's on the motorway I think the vag's tend to drag the rear wheels a bit on the motorway which means they can't punch their weight top end the four wheel drive also makes them not as economical.

There are some 265hp cars with the monochrome cluster.

Straight DRL were also around the the same time the 7G+ 'box came in.

Considering going for a map that improves MPG or is that too unrealistic?

Nice looking car, good spec. and from Jay, so I would definitely consider that.

I wouldn't consider a remap to save fuel, maybe you will if you don't use the power, 1-2mpg.

I reckon that car will see close to 40mpg average being a 7g+ and a saloon, for some reason I always thing everyone is looking for estates.

I would try and verify yourself, last time I spoke to Mercland about a W212 the girl insisted it was not 7g plus, very dismissive when I asked her to verify based upon it being a E250 with column shift, stop/start etc.

It did turn out to have 7g plus but ended up buying the car from the dealer for a similar price, its a shame really as I did really want to use Mercland.

Judging by the low emissions, it would seem it is indeed a 7g+

Unfortunately, their value of my car Part ex is the same as WBAC, I have been offer a few hundred more from another dealer, but not as keen on the car there.

I would go for that one low mileage and has the colour display in the speedo.
You will be dissapointed if you but the other.
The remap is well worth the money mine was done at MSL will give the car better fuel economy and giant slaying capabilities.
