Had a search , can't find anything.

When coming out of park on a slope / steep road the autobox is anything but smooth . It's snatchy and noisy if that makes sence . It's done it since owning the car, is it normal ?

Thanks

Do you apply the parking brake strongly, before putting the car into P when you park? The car is settling against the Parking pall (sic) when you release your foot from the foot brake, this will be lessened if you apply the parking brake strongly.

You may also lessen the effect by holding your foot very firmly on the foot brake before moving out of P.

If it`s the box that`s snatchy/noisy AFTER it`s out of park, then that sounds like low ATF level.

Just tried it with a strong push on the parking brake and didn't solve it. One more try with a really really strong push of the brake and seems to have worked. Didn't realise a lot of force was needed .

Thanks again

Does your car not have the 'Hill Assist' function on the main footbrake?

Double press at standstill??

You need some Sport wheels - that will fix it ;).
