Command nav thinks it is in Germany?

Hi all,

I have a w220 s-class 320 2004 model and my command navigation system thinks it is in Germany and does not pick up my current location in the UK?

I have tried the reset option on the command screen but to no avail. Is it possible that the optical laser is not reading the dvd properly (original disk), I want to update to the 2012/13 version but is there any point if it thinks it is in Germany.

How many satellites are you receiving? Could be your GPS antenna is faulty.

I had that once in a BMW. The aerial had not been plugged in properly.

thanks, i'll check the antenna connection. How do I see how many satellites I'm receiving? this was quite easy when I had my Tomtom.

Sounds more like attenna problem, as above check no of satellites being seen.
Check antenna connections for water ingress

OK, so no satellites showing. I pressed the eject button whilst holding numbers 1 & 3 on the command panel to put me into diagnostics and in there it showed zero satellites.

Where is the GPS antenna plugged into? behind Command unit or at the back in the luggage area?
