Title says it all....how ironic. Have been using it at work, collegues saying 'oooh, flash a Mercedes pen' ....then it promptly sprung open and is now SORN

Brilliant.

At least it didn't go rusty ! :D

I'd have thought complimentary would have been a bit of a giveaway mate ;)

Have you still got it under ServicePlus?

Call mobilo, they should give you a replacement while your own is repaired.

I wouldn't bother, have had some terrible experiences in the past.

I used to own a silver M-B pen, attracted by the prestige image and good aftersales service. When it blew a nib a month ago they took over an hour to get out to the roadside where I was mid-ticket (Other driver was not happy) and then gave me one with blue ink.

I explained that I couldn't possibly use blue on official reports, so then they sent another guy out with apparently the "only black pen". Mine was due to be in for several weeks due to "Specialist spring only available from Germany".

My hire pen?

A 29p Biro

I will not be shopping with Mb again.

Given the sort of people who might get to borrow your pen ("Just sign here, Sir"), I wouldn't chew the end of it, in fact I don't think I'd want to use it at all.

(You might have to explain why blue ink is of no use to you, a bib...)

send a picture and we all can see what went wrong and see if we can repair it:D :D :D :D

Is it the carbon effect one?

I use mine everyday. OK I don't actually write much these days, it's like soooo 20th century, but still, mine's holding up to the strain.

Carbon effect one yes....It's just the two halves need a tighter fit...it pings apart. Not sure if I'll use it now - Ken Livingstone bound to tax them of the desks?

I have a sterling silver MB pen, seems pretty solid actually!

After I changed the refill in mine, I had a similar problem. Just required a bit of a knack. IIRC it was something to do with the spring position.

Don't be tempted to throw it away.

It just isn't the done thing to write in pocket notebooks or on official reports in anything other than black, bit racist if you ask me :p .

I think actually it's something to do with photocopying..
