I was looking at the audi website (honest - only looking no touching!) and came across this:

MOTs are a legal requirement in the UK . Currently vehicles aged three years or over must be tested every year. Refer to you local Audi Centre for latest advice.

We know how much your Audi means to you, so why not have it assessed at an Audi Centre by the people who know it best? As a valued Audi owner, you can also benefit from Complimentary MOT Protection at no extra cost.

The annual MOT test can make even the most cool-headed person a little nervous. Our Audi Trained Technicians are on hand to help make this is as simple and painless as possible for you.

If you choose to have your MOT carried out at an Audi Centre – for just £49.99 – as well as maintain your vehicle in line with the manufacturer’s service schedule, we will provide Complimentary MOT Protection. This covers you for up to £750 (inc. VAT) against a wide range of repairs, should your Audi fail its MOT.

So, although we can’t make the MOT test vanish altogether, we can eliminate some of the worry it may cause.

t&c;s say covers vehicles up to 7yrs or 100k miles. And you need to have serviced at audi I think but still, pretty good I reckon. Nice to protect against those small to medium things that could fail an mot. Doubt it covers wear and tear of course like pads/discs etc..

I wonder if Mercedes might think about this to keep mercs in house after 3 years?

In motoring, generally, I have noticed these offers crop up more and more. I think it was also National Autocare who had a policy you could buy for £40 to £50 and offers a similar amount of cover..

(ps. I trust this is in the correct section - General motoring discussion)

£750 inc VAT does give much these days.

It doesn't cover pads or discs, bulbs or fuses or wiring. Wheels and tyres are excluded.

As an Audi owner that's nice to hear. But I've only just had my MOT done a couple of months ago and I will have changed vehicle before the next test!

All true WN but still, nice little offer though...

It certainly does no harm to Audi's customer care image :)
