Compressor on Mercedes W211 EClass 420CDI june 2008

Dear all,

I have not been visiting the forum for a while because hopefully I had no problem with the car since I have it (2009) . Now it is totalling 130 000 km.

Since a few days the compressor of the air suspension does not stop working even when the engine and the car are off, and I am obliged to disconnect the main batery to stop it.

Is there any one who has experienced the same problem ?

Any idee is much welcome. togther with what to check.

The compressor is in the wing, just in front of the nearside front wheel. Take the wheel off and remove the wheel arch lining then check there isn't a short to live in the wiring.

Yep, relay is probably jammed... that's why they change it always if compresoor is changed.

And comment above is also true, wires are easily damaged.
