Anyone know of a hard drive car radio other than the Pioneer DEH-90HDD, bit too pricy. At home, when on the puter, I listen to Real Jukebox on random play with in and out fade, and I would like to get something similar in the car. Any other suggestions would be fine.

Sony, Kenwood, both make HD based systems.

Sony has the HD built in and Kenwood have the "Keg" system.

You could also add an mp3 player such as the Denison or M-Station (Neo 35).

I am always surprised by how much finely tuned equipment people have at home and how precise it is . yet for cars we happily settle for poorly controlled speakers with virtually no crossover and MP3 sources from the internet.

How does it work ?

Suprisingly well actually Miro....

When your whizzing down the motorway at 80mph+ then Mp3 is perfectly adequate. If you rip your CD's at a high rate and have decent speakers and amps, then you'd be suprised how good it is. I'm using the stock speakers and a panasonic 60W channel mosfet HU.

I didn't hear any complaints at the UK meet about the quality of my system with stock speakers and mp3 files.
