To be fair, I wasn't a member nearly six years ago.....
I was poking fun with MB on LinkedIn and asked when this is hitting manufacturing. They said I should contact my dealer 
Since audi is building a full electric GT I doubt MB wants to miss out. I suspect a smaller, less refined version of this will be a full electric 2-door.
