Confirmation of date of manufacture

I recently purchased a C-200 Kompressor. Being an import, the DVLA will like to verify the date of manufacture. Below is the VIN number;
WDD2042412F212659.

Can anyone help?

The Datacard will give you a Shipment Date (or Delivery Date), whatever that mean. Presumably it's when the car was either shipped or delivered to the dealer?

If this is not enough, you will need to contact an MB dealer and ask them to provide you with a copy of the OASIS report, which will detail the car's production process and will have all the relevant dates.

The datacard will give a Delivery date, which is when the car left the production line. This date could be months before shipping to a dealer and longer before first registration, all depends on how popular the model was.

If you have any removable plastic items such as ash trays, they are usually date stamped. This will give you the earliest time and could narrow down your search

Up to about a year ago, the Datacard for my car showed 'Delivery date:..'.

But of recent, it is showing 'Shipment date..:' instead.

(The actual date is still the same in either case)

So which is it...?
