Confused about whether to change transmission oil

Im in the same place as the OP, 5 speed in my 2011 E that the dealer says is sealed for life... Any recommendations for a good indie in surrey to get it changed.

I had a similar problem with my BMW 5 Series. The dealer will say it's filled for life and does not need changing.

Like others have pointed out, oil does not last!

I had mine done at 37k and 80k. The gear changes are crisp and smooth. No hanging on to gears. As the oil in the gearbox and engine is the "blood" of the car it makes sense to keep it good. Regular oil changes prevent ware
