Hi guys just a quick question i've recently bought a 91 300CE and i am a bit confused as to the car code of my CE. I have been posting threads whilst using W124 however, i went on the GSF website to check some prices for service parts and it said my car is a C124, not sure now what my car code is, is it W124 or C124?!?

Hmm. Now if I remember rightly.

W124. The W is for Wagen which the Germans describe as a Saloon.
S124. The S is for Estate.
C124. The C is for Coupe.

I could be wrong, others will be along later. Only car parts people, sorry only car parts computers are really picky about this.

The C means coupe. The W means Wagen (saloon).

That makes no sense when you translate to German. It should be :

    K124 - Kombi - Estate
    L124 - Limo(usine) - Saloon
    C124 - Coupe

I'm not disagreeing, just pointing out the strangeness of it all.

    A124 is the convertible.
