Congestion charge

I am a little confused with a PCN i got.

On Sunday i traveled up to London, was staying in a hotel for 5 nights with work. There is no congestion charge on a Sunday. And i drove back on Friday.

My thinking was that the congestion charge is only applied when you enter London not when you leave.

Had the PCN come though the post today and they have given me 4 days to pay..

Anyone able to enlighten me?

It covers any day you drive in the zone. So your journey on Friday was chargeable.

You get 28 days to pay. It's half price if you pay within half that time.

Applies Monday to Friday, next time sign up to he website with a D/D it's much easier, I've registered my work vehicle along with my work credit card. Saves worrying when you get home
