I've done the same on my previous W202, still to do on my W203.

It's so useful!

well done!

How do you activate the light? I've also installed a suitable switch to operate the light only opening the arm.

Same thing... I instaled a lateral swich only operate the light when opening arm.

as far as I can remember from my old w202, I've dismounted the centre armrest (I mean the whole assembly; a couple of screw you well see fron inside if I'm nont wrong and the front screw at side of the ashtray) run a cable from the 12V socket and installed in a handmade hole a puddle light. I've found a suitable switch that I've installed back of the armrest in order to operate (closing the circuit) only opening the armrest.

I'd like to do the same on my 203, to illuminate that black hole!

Further I've also dismunted the armrest cover and filled with suitable foam and a real leather (since the factory cover is too hard on w202)

That's a great little mod! If you could do a how-to and give some ideas as to the parts required it'd be really appreciated :)

I've utilized a puddle light same part number of W202 front puddle light, and a piece of el cable, plus as said a suitable swith that I found in a electric shop.

...on my 203 I'm still wondering if I want to illuminate only the bottom store or both two

Have you got part numbers for the button? :bannana: :bannana:

Its not an OEM part, HERE is one from Maplin (as found in highstreets)
Great Mod that though! think im going to have to do that myself - are you running it off an LED bulb?

Where are you running the power from?

Looks very good and will be useful. Well done.
Would the bulb not fall out if you were to go over a big bump as it doesn't sit straight?

Good work !!

Little mods like this make all the difference !! :bannana:

Well done. Its one of those mods that should be an original feature.
Had a life home last night from a friend on mine in a new Skoda, no lgiggling please.
They have a useful feature:- when you open the door, instaed of the overhead light coming on, there is a lamp just to illuminate the footwell.
