Hi

I appreciate this is a Mercedes forum but the problem with my bmw maybe a generic problem with all cars with esp/dtc etc.

When I hit a bump the traction control light (dtc) comes on and cuts the power like it should. Sounds normal but the car will continuous keep the traction control light flashing with limited power until I take my foot of the accelerator.
I did keep my foot on the accelerator for about a mile with the light flashing and limited power until I took my foot off, but I know the car isn't loosing traction, especially not for over a mile at 70 mph in a four wheel drive.

I hope that makes sense.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

One of the ABS sensor failed, which puts car into limp mode.
Rear drive shafts are known for damaging abs sens.

I did think of the abs sensor but the car isn't actually going in to limp mode. Almost as if the traction control doesn't know when to disactivate after its been activated.

Nice Bell & Ross watch by the way!
