first start of the day convenience does not work until battery is fully charged
my question is what battery is it the one under bonnet or the one in the boot?????

Most likely the main battery in the boot.

You need to check the resting voltages of both batteries.
12.6v is fully charged, anything below 12v needs charging.

How old are the batteries? Anything over 4/5 years and it probably needs replacing.

ive had the car 0ver 6 yrs just had the battery in the boot tested and it showed 60%.The guy in the motor spares shop reckons there is 3 batteries in the car1 boot 2 in the bonnet rhs 3 m/cycle size in the dash.are you saying it could be both or 1 is topping up the other????

Very common issue in winter time , especially with short journeys. You need a battery conditioner charger on the main battery throughout.
