Marco's Kitchen Wars....
Gordon in the prison (whatever his new series is called) :dk:.

Arms folded, steely "hard man" frowny stares to camera.

Yes Chef, yes Chef from the whimpering wimps.

Cooking programmes on every channel, every day.

As Catherine Tate's gran would say........

"What a load of sh*t"

They'll be complaining next that the nation is morbidly obese.

If we didn't know how to cook the stuff, we wouldn't eat it :wall bash:

And while we are at it, when did the weeds you pull out of your pond from time to time become "micro herbs" ?

Apart from Nigella as eye candy, I just don't get their demi god image :dk:.

Perhaps there'd be less obesity if more people tried cooking with their own ingredients, rather than just watching these programmes while eating a takeaway meal.

The amusing reality (entirely contrary to Mozzer's post) is the more cooking there is on TV the less the population actually does.

My chef friend tells me that when he was awarded his second Michelin star the bookings for his restaurant slightly improved. When his restaurant hosted Masterchef Professional, the phone didn't stop (and so far hasn't stopped) ringing.

As a good friend of mine employed Marco Pierre White and Gordon Ramsay in his first restaurant, his stories about the early reality behind the tv sleb chef are highly entertaining.

...although I can unreservedly recommend the food in The Horsehoe from this weeks episode.
