coolant choices..

Hi everyone,

What are your thoughts on coolant type to use?

My car is a 99 s320 w140.

Ive been looking into this subject and have found that halfords sell comma g48 coolant for like £22 for 5 litres. However, eurocarparta are doing their own make called triple qx, which is about £8 readymixed for 5 litres. However im not sure if this meets the merc 325.0 requirement for coolant on this car.

Has anyone used ecps own make of coolant in their car??

I have used ECP's Triple QX in my Ford Focus, but I'll only use MB's own coolant in the E55. My take is the MB coolant is the one recommended and produced by/for them, so for the amount used that is what the car gets.

Get it from Mercedes. It isn't expensive.

Hi , if 325.0 is your cars norm, you should be only looking for the ones on this list. The easiest to find online and cheapest is fuchs maintain fricofin. Hope it helps.
