Just wanted to let other members with the same Mercedes to look out for water loss. This was a follow up to my waterpump replacement that took a long time, over 5 weeks.Well all the coolant was put in and after some time i went out to check it to find the level in the expansion tank had dropped.Looking under the car i found this patch of coolant under drivers side of the car .As i looked , i could see it was running down from above.Up top it looked just like the head gasket at the rear of the engine block. I thought at that time thats it ,it parting out time. But then after looking again i found that the water was makeing its way out just above the head gasket ,from the rear of the back lifting eye.Now this looked easy, first caphead was removed ,o then i had a go at the bottom one. This was not going to come out easy. But after the little tap on the head with a 3 lb hammer it gave up.The part came off to expose a very worn 0 ring .Hope this helps every one with a rear coolant leak.
