you tell us the difference and then we can decide?

Because as far as I'm aware the MB coolant is both keeping the car frost free and allowing it to run hotter for economic reasons + having an anti corrosive additives
The warning on the rad is there for e good reason you will get scalded with fluid 100c+ if you remove the rad cap

If you live in Russia or locations where they get real cold winters then the proportion of antifreeze/coolant fluid is increased to protect the enine .

Coolant is anti-freeze. The water is mixed with increasing ethylene glycol concentrations for greater anti-freeze protection.

The fluid in the radiator is roughly 90 C and pressurised to 1 bar, which gives a boiling point of 110 C. So never open the radiator cap whilst the engine is hot, as the radiator will rapidly equalise the pressure with the atmosphere by ejecting the fluid which vaporises, throwing steam all over your hands and face.

got the job done got the rad and thermostat from gsf had it in stock so that was grand next job is engine oil/filter might have a go at the gearbox oil any pointers on doing gearbox oil change

Transmission Fluid Change

'Don't know if you have Transmission722.4XX or 722.6XX
First Cyrillic diagram is 722.4, drain plug for torque converter is #20
Second Cyrillic diagram is 722.6, drain plug for torque converter is #10

Use the crankshaft nut to turn the engine (AND torque converter) until the
drain plug is at 6:00 O'Clock[ONLY turn engine in direction of normal rotation,
DO Not Turn Backwards!] (HINT: mark the crankshaft pulley with an engine
paint line so it'll be easier to find next time)Use a New Washer on the Torque converter drain plug.

I'm assuming you can R+R the drain plug out of the Transmission pan and
install a New Transmission Filter?Be careful when retorquing the Pan bolts
too much torque can distort the pan and cause leaks.'Crisscross pattern,
Finger tight, then Torque with an inch pound Torque wrench, also Crisscross.
ALso when removing the pan bolts,be on the lookout for ancillary equipment
held on by the same bolts.

When you've buttoned everything back up...fill with nice new clean ATF at the 95%
of capacity level (You're gonna "Ease Up To " the "almost" full mark) Check the level,
drive for about 20 miles to get everything up to Operating Temperature ...Park on a
PERFECTLY flat spot of ground and with your foot on the brake run through all the
gears (Letting them engage) returning to "Park"...Now check the fluid Level and add
smallish amounts until it's near perfectly full.YOU DO NOT WANT TO OVERFILL!

Oh Yeah,The Engineers in Stuttgart want you to use a LEATHER cloth to wipe the
Transmission dipstick so there will be no "Lint" introduced into all those tiny passages.

No drain plug on later torque converters on the 722.6 box, also no dipstick so you will have to get hold of workshop tool. Loads of gearbox info if you use the search button.

sorry i didnt say what transmission i have i have a manual gearbox very sorry about that

Easy job then. Take out drain and filler plug, drain oil, replace drain plug and fill to level of filler plug on side with ep 90. No filter to change and no dipstick to buy.

thats great thanks so will castrol oil do then or is there a specific type i need to get
