I have a C class 180 Elegance. Since I put a new battery on the vehicle the fan won't go off without removing the fuse.
I can't find the sensor, has anybody had this problem? :(

Hello. What year is the car? Also what fan are you talking about, the one for the heater blower or the cooling fan for the engine. What is the first 3 numbers in the chassis number. (either 202 or 203)

Hello, many thanks for your reply. The year of the car is 1996,the first three numbers are 202 and it is the cooling fan for engine - it will not stop running without removing the fuse, also the overheating icon is displayed on the dashboard.
Regards Mike

You may have damaged the fan control unit while connecting the new battery. You may just need the fault codes erased. Needs to be put on a Star really
