This and that.
I had a MS Word doc on my desktop, which I opened, immediately closed and deleted. But now I've got a ghosted file on the desktop which I can't open, or delete. How do I get rid of it?

Where the original file was (for example) Document.doc, the ghosted file is ~$cument.rtf

Thx

PJ

That file would normally be deleted automatically when you close MS Word. Are you trying to delete it while Word is still active?

Files can sometimes get locked by a process which will then stop you from deleting it. Often happens to me with AVI's. Often a reboot will take care of it.
I normally open a DOS box and delete from there.

This is pretty cool. Every time I thank somebody, I thank them twice! Can anyone else do that?

it happens .i think the thank button is too grateful this days
