Hiya. I know that there are plenty of knowledgeable people on here, inc some pros, so I wonder if anyone could give a rough guide as to how much it might cost to clear these advisories on a CLK320;

  • Nearside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
  • Offside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
  • Nearside Front Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
  • Offside Front Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
  • Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))
  • Offside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))
  • Nearside Front Upper Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))
  • Offside Front Upper Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))

It looks to me like it needs front brakes and a front suspension re-fresh. The MOT runs through until November but I'm thinking it may provide some leverage on the asking price.

Thanks in advance,

LG.

I think you are looking at about 1000-1100 on ebay analogue parts. Maybe 300 labour unless you go to dealer [emoji12]

I had front discs, pads and sensors done on my S204 4 years ago by a local garage (don't need a specialist garage for those!), cost £300 for Pagid parts, fitted. Can't help about the suspension stuff though!

I got brembo discs and pads for 300 as well, fitted. 4 lower arms costed 600 and another 200 to fit. Obviously you need the lot taken out to replace the upper arms. So suspecting the same. So maybe it's 1k with fitting

Got to be worth a few quid off the asking price then!

£700 - £800 all in I reckon

Shame you're so far from me, it would be alot cheaper than some of the prices I've seen quoted on this thread. ;)

We got Mrs Edd1968's discs and pads from Eurocarparts on a weekend offer. I ordered Pagid everything. I didn't even charge her! (much) ;)

Cheers all. It's just to give me an idea should I decide to pursue a particular car. Even if bought, I'm sure it wouldn't all have to be done immediately, or all at once. And then, of course, when I came to sell I could say "look at all of the good work I've had done"!!

LGO.
