Hi Guys,

I am in at the stealership tomorrow with a potential front suspension coil replacement on my C180 sprts Coupe 55 plate - can anyone give me any idea the likely cost of the part and labour,or labour time ?

Thanks.

Had both front springs replaced by indi for £200, parts were £55 each

Olly at PCS did mine recently - very pleased. Will check cost and post back

Springs are in the region of £50 each and fitting should take no longer than 30 mins. Change out of £100 :D

On my W211 (E-Class), front springs were £39 each. Labour was £210.80 (don't know how many hour(s) that was). This was done at main dealer. [Prices exclude VAT]

front springs take longer than half an hour. The labour time I think is 2.1 hours on a 203.

I got a quote of over 350 from main dealer yesterday for both front springs including labour im assuming. Needless to say i told them to get lost and went back to the garage i got it from as iv only had it 3 months with 1600miles done.

I didnt actually know they had both gone. I originally went there to get brakes done and they told me id be another 350 to get springs replaced. Nearly had a heart attack lol. that plus front discs and pads was nearly 800quid!

I changed wifes 203 front spring drivers side in 45 minutes at work with genuine spring cost just over £50 from mercs, get genuine spring as theres loads of variations depending on engine model spec etc.
First machpherson spring i have changed in a long time bit of a bugger to squeeze back up again to get the top nut back on.
