I hadn't noticed the Costco, Michelin Tyres 20% discount offer this year to date (usually around Easter time).

I called them today and the offer starts on the 11th of June.

I need two new Michelin Primacy HP 225/55/17 101W tyres for my Vito.

Including Vat and fitting.

Costco = £187.76 each.
Kwikfit = £270.00 each.

Does that price include the discount?

Only reason I ask is that it doesn't sound amazingly cheap to me - just one look at mytyres shows that you can have a pair of those delivered for around £75 less - fitting won't cost as much as that :)

Michelin PRIMACY HP 225/55 R17 101W XL with rim protection ridge, G1-fit by axle, GRNX - mytyres.co.uk

Ignore Kwik-Fit for prices, they just seem to make them up before offering silly promotions (one tyre free etc...)

Ignore Kwik-Fit, full stop

I need two ...

You have to buy four to get the 20% discount at Costco. However they can be any 4 tyres so you could buy a pair for 2 cars, or you can take 2 away and have them fitted at a later date.

As others have pointed out, watch their pricing though - they used to be cheaper all the time and the discount made them amazingly cheap. Now their non-discounted pricing isn't that good.

The offer ends 1st July.

If I'm reading it right, etyres, who I've never used but people speak well of, will come round to your house/work and fit those tyres for £142 each.

Yep that's right and seems a top deal.

Will, the Costco price is with the 20% discount.
I did see that exact mytyres price which is good value, but (for now at least) it suits me better to just go and have tyres fitted at Costco.
I actually like the set up there, in that I can keep an eye on what they are doing. My van seems to pick up little knocks when in some workshops (this happened at my last visit to the main dealer, but is difficult to prove).

I agree about the Kwikfit prices. Don't know where they get them from sometimes.

Thanks very much for that, Rory. Means I can keep an eye on what they're doing too. ;) :thumb:

...but bear in mind what I said earlier, you have to buy 4 to get the discount.

I had forgotten about that.
I did buy four PS3's for my 210 from Costco 18 months ago and made a saving of around £170.00 IIRC.

Job booked with Etyres for Monday afternoon. £285.60 all inclusive.

If you ever get down to a Cheshire GTG at The Dog Inn it's my round, Rory. :thumb:
