Costco Mobil 1 New Life Oil

Popped in to Costco today to buy 10 Ltrs of mobil 1 ready for my next service and they only had Mobil 0-40 new life.

Now i know i need 0-40 but not sure what the New Life means, Is this suitable for my car 2002 SLK32 AMG

Both are the same thing, im pretty sure New Life is something about extended service life.

I only ever put Mobil 1 0w-40 New Life in mine, runs beautifully.

look for the merc approval on the label... (229.5 etc)

As above - the 'New Life' 0W-40 is the stuff you want, it's approved to MB229.3/229.5 etc too

Have a look on ebay for "4 x 5 litre Mobil 0w-40" and there are a few sellers that will sell 20 litres for about £120 . . . . . which is about £30 per 5 litres.

Normal 5 litre price from Halfords i think is £55.

Remember Costco prices are + VAT. Still a very good price.
