I bought a box of Beer for a friend, but thinking it would fly around in the boot, I stuck it behind the passenger seat. When I went to move the seat back to its position, the motor kicked in and sent the seat backwards ( memory seats).
It's a c300d coupe, so only 2 doors, access to the rear is helped by the seat being driven forward then back when the seatback is pushed back.
I'm sure you understand.
I then realised my Beer would get crushed by the moving seat, so quickly touched one of the position buttons on the door. Seat stopped dead.
My question is, if a child was in the back of the car, or an adult with long legs, what happens?
Is there a sensor that's stops the seat moving?
Or, do bones get snapped?
I did google and looked in the handbook, but I couldn't find anything.
Just made me think.
Anyone?
