C63 Edition 507
Couple of videos from last nights OpenTrack event at Brands. After a week of decent sunshine the heavens opened for most of the day! Luckily the rain stayed to a minimum during the track time and we even saw a slight dry line develop. I was running on the AD08Rs on my road wheels and although I'd brought my Cup rubber on the 507 wheels, I never changed over.

We came with 2 cars (C63 and MR2) and 4 passengers. MR2 didn't have a tow eye so didn't get past sighting which left it to the Merc to be Hatch taxi for the evening with back to back stints. RaceChrono told me I'd done 1 hour 49 minutes, 56 miles and 47 laps! Best time was a 1:02:49 in the damp, 2 seconds quicker than my old A220 D in the wet (oops) and a full 8 seconds slower than my old Clio in the dry.

Car felt very balanced, understeer was easily felt and easily held, oversteer was a little harder to gauge but the car helped me out with 'small testes' mode enabled. The C63 continues to impress...it's not a track car but it has a good go at beating any tarmac it meets into submission.

Really enjoyed watching the videos. Just one comment....a better view of the instruments particularly the speedo (digital?) would have put the runs into context for the viewer.

I do have RaceChrono that I log all data with but I just haven't got it synced to the camera (only works with GoPro). I might try it next time though and see how it looks?

That could be helpful...or even just a slightly different camera angle so that the speedo is in better view. As it is I could just see the needle as it edged over 3 figures - a bit of a guess though from knowledge of the scale calibration.

Thanks for sharing anyway; I should have said that in my first post.

Yeah no worries, always post my vids as you don't often see an 1800kg motor being tracked! Will try and get better ideas of speed at the Ring in 3 weeks.
