Courtesy Cars....

Apologies if this has been posted before.....

This weekend we have been given an 09 Reg CLK280 Cabriolet as a courtesy car whilst our A Class gearbox problem is sorted!

It has almost all the options including Sports pack, heated seats, COMAND etc etc. Absolutely lovely but 22mpg takes a bit of getting used to!

Question is - what is the best courtesy car you've had? Doesn't have to be an MB but am just interested!!

Is certainly the best one we've ever had and funnily enough I have been looking at buying one too....
Not had anything I can remember as being special.....was this car from MB Swindon???? If so my car will soon need a service..:D:D

MB Chester offer you an excess opt out too- £10 gets you all excesses reduced to £50 or less. If not taken the important one (damage) is a £1000.
I must also admit that MB Chester never charge the £10 despite preparing the paperwork- not totally sure this insurance legal actually.....
Courtesy cars vary A's, B's C class saloons and last one was a CLC.

When I had the S60 they'd regularly drop me an S60T5 as a courtesy car. In the merc the best service cars have been W204s, but the bodyshop sourced me a CLS320 when mine was being repaired (but that was getting billed at 200+vat / day to the other party)

Toyota always gave us a Yaris, a car I rate very highly as to being as good at its job as my E class is.

Rover used to drop me whatever demonstrator was free, so I got a brand new MGF trophy one weekend - that was hilarious.

When I had one of the very first curent shape 530i beemers it was a dog and they always gave me a 730d Sport as a courtesy car, in the end i thrashed out a deal to kill the 530 and keep the 730. I was working for Invensys in Slough at the time and had a better motor than the chief exec LOL

I got an 09 Reg 3.0 V6 Viano as a courtesy car the day it was registered, delivered to my door with 162 miles on it.
Strangely enough I still have it as they haven't yet found, never mind fixed the fault with mine. Mind you it now has 8400 miles on it and I'm not complaining.

Sure was! This particular car was in the showroom until very recently. Its a luvverly drive and the AMG exhaust makes it sound fantastic when you put your foot down!
