While cleaning the car today I noticed that the left side skirt at the very front and underneath has a crack in it. Is it easy to repair such things? It doesn't seem bad. A replacement side skirt looks like it will cost ~ £750. As the car is quite old, that's a fair amount to put into it I am thinking.

    So repair or replace?

A good bodyshop should be able to repair it. Sideskirts are really flexible when not attached to the car and being so low to the ground they tend to pick up scratches and dents pretty easily.

i bought my facelifted skirts i fitted to my clk secondhand. they were cracked.

i bought some 'bumper repair' filler stuff from Halfords and fixed it - never had a problem. If they are under the car you could quite easily fix and then paint yourself without the repair being noticable.
