Cracked windscreen W219 CLS

Here is my original screen, if that's what PPG stands for then they must be correct in what they have told me.

zipdip, that's all I'm really bothered about. As long as it is fitted with no damage to the car and works as it should I'll. be happy :thumb:

My new screen says the same as yours but as mine is a w221 tansanite blue I have Sungate EA on mine :bannana:

Well I had my new Screen fitted today by auto windscreen. The technician was top class. Removed all trim with care, taped up all edges so as not to damage/mark any paintwork. Really knew his job inside out! Everything works as it did:thumb:
Really impressed:bannana:

Years ago had Autoglass replacing a windscreen on my ML55 with Pilkington pattern part. Rain sensor bit didn't match the rear view mirror location. MB hologram screen ordered and fitted by them following this and it went perfectly in. So, no the two may come from the same factory but are not the same.

You're a lucky man. I'm in the midst of a 10 month battle with Auto Windscreens and Markerstudy (their parent company) over getting a new screen fitted. So far they've delivered 6 damaged screens, with their only solution being to keep delivering new screens - monkeys, typewriters and the works of Shakespeare come to mind.

The FOS have now ruled in my favour, however, perhaps unsurprisingly, the other side is dragging their feet like a sulky spoilt child.

Hmmm, sounds like it's pot luck with getting the correct screen fitted and it working correctly, as you say Doodle looks like I'm the lucky man! Think I'll put the lottery on..
Hope you get sorted out mate
