Around a week ago the car cut out at traffic lights and although it has been OK since I am wondering if it might be prudent to fit replacement Crank Position Sensor. I have a subscription to ALLDATA which indicates the MB part no. Is 003 153 95 28. I understand the equivalent Bosch part no. Is 0261 210 141. Does everyone agree that this is the correct replacement part for this car??
I'm on holiday in America next week and am able to purchase this (Bosch)sensor there for $40 ( around £25) which is considerably cheaper than it can be bought for in UK.
As far as I can tell this sensor was last replace around 18 months ago with a sensor from GSF ( non Bosch part).
As always I would be most grateful for any comments/observations.
Thanks, Mike

Id get it from the states - its the right mb number

its quite an easy job - the securing bolt is removed with a female torx socket

you might have to clean the hole slightly in bell housing to ensure a nice fit

word of advise when putting bolt back in - using some insultion tape put the bolt into the socket and put some tape around the very edge of the bolt and screw in by hand - when tight the tape will come off with the ext. and socket

job done.
