Crank positionn sensor and STAR initialation?

Forgot to say - on ALLDATA it says that if this part is replaced it must be re-initialised using Star Diagnostics in menu item control module adaptions.
Does anyone know if this is in fact the case. I have read lots of threads about replacing this sensor and don't remember anyone reporting the need for STAR re- initialisation. Thought it was "plug and play"

It will just stay in memory stored codes,get erased if you want.
