Hi, just wondering if any one would know what the problem could be: Every time I break or turn left there seems to be a creaking noise from what appears to be the left hand side of the car, it sounds like an old ship! Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks in advance.

probably a dry rubber bush or suspension component... these things arent always easy to diagnose... you would have to try and spray some white grease around the rubber parts to see if it stops..

Does it do it in the rain?

it has been so wet since I had it so hard to tell, but would appear to always make the noise, strange that it does it under braking to!

My old ML used to do it all the time, it was the suspension bushes and is a common problem I understand.
