vaneo 1.9 family
Hi, I have a vaneo 1.9 family. I have to keep the fuse for my interior lights out because when it is installed, they work fine but as soon as I move off and the central locking engages they come on. Help me please.

Sounds a bit like your modern merc courtesy - "see you home" lights are screwed up. When the doors lock automatically after you move off I am guessing that the car thinks you have just locked the car in the garage and has gone into "see you home" mode where it keeps certain lights on to allow you to get to house etc. Could be some weird light switch combination or fault door switches or interior light cluster. I am not very familiar with the Vaneo sorry.

Could you use the switch on the dash to de-activate the auto-door lock as a temporary measure? To solve the problem, you need to find someone with STAR to read the codes (about £40 or so if non-franchise) because as Graeme says, it could be switch or light cluster fault and that should throw up a fault.
