Hello again guys.

Having fun with my father in-laws CL420

Had a flat tyre last week, and straight after developed a random/intermittent cutting out problem at idle or overrun/coasting (throttle closed)

Took off throttle body for inspection, cleaned butterfly and re-installed correctly (gasket good no vac leak).

This "seems" to have cured the cutting out issue, but now instead of trying to switch itself off it just starts to idle erratically (hunting).

A friend of mine plugged the Mercedes (Star?) diagnostics computer into it and it brought up faults relating to BAS (Cruise control) which were C1000, C1332

Im now trying to make the link between a cruise control problem causing the symptoms of engine cut out/erratic idle.

Can anyone confirm this as a possibility???

Any help would be most appreciated.

Rob

Unlikely.

Check the servo isn't leaking too much air into the manifold, though.

I would suspect the MAS has given up the ghost.
