Just a bit more useless trivia about the cruise/speed limiter function. If you switch the car off the electronics will wipe the cruise control speed setpoint, however, the limiter function will remember the previous setpoint.
So if you use the limiter frequently in town you don't have to keep setting it from scratch all the time. Just switch on, activate limiter, pull the stalk towards you and magically the previous journey's setpoint becomes active. Subsequent pulls towards you will then increment limited speed by 1mph as stated above.
I have also noticed that if you use the limiter to hold a steady speed it will do so using slightly more revs when compared to an identical speed set on the cruise control. E.g. 80 on the motorway corresponds to 3,000rpm when using cruise or approx 3,200 if on the limiter.
Also the limited speed displayed is very slightly overestimated but this is common and depends on your speedo calibration. E.g. if you set 80mph the car will actually not speed above 78mph. Easy to spot if you have SATNAV with GPS calculated speed display.
