Hmmm, I bought a base spec 220CE on purpose. I want to keep it a long time, and I dont want to get ****d off with broken air con, too much electrics etc etc.

BUT I wouldnt mind cruise control.
Anyone got any idea if this would be at all possible to retro fit by using bits from a breakers yard?
I dont know if some of the wiring may already be there, ie just connect up the new components?

there are aftermarket kits available - a MB OEM solution would be too expensive.

I was looking at a solution for my car a year ago, i'll dig up my notes.

Arriving at Your Destination without Stress - VDO tempostat® Cruise Control

It would be clever to install this with a factory MB control stalk/lever for the oem look... hopefully the push/pull etc is the same as labelled <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
