Crunching / Popping from front end CLK270

Hello!

I have an issue with my CLK270 CDI (2002).

When turning right hand down at low speeds, a nasty crunching or creaking / and popping sound is audible from the front end.

The noise occurs when the car is in motion both forwards and backwards, but only when steering right, and only at low speed (or maybe just because little steering angle is achieved at low speed).

The car is equipped with a Bilstein B12 suspension kit and eibach anti roll bars.

Any input?

The usual suspects are worn balljoint(s) or a broken spring.

The springs break in the cup, so you have to look closely and carefully to see it.
