hello there

after getting finally fed up of flat batteries on my 2004 sl350 I have purchased a ctek mx 5 ! so the location for installation ........ I have heard on the drivers side there is a batt junction connection port where the front and rear batts are connected , do you think it would be an idea to mount it under there somehow so I can charge them both spesh the rear one which is currently locked in my boot flat as a pancake .

thanks in advance

You shouldn't need to charge the front battery, it's the consumer battery in the boot that goes flat so connect the CTEK directly to the battery.

yes indeed however the boot will not open its that flat! and the catch ,surprise will not work . sods law

Go for a short drive to give the battery a head start, that should enable the boot to open. Then fix the boot lock with a bit of lubrication.
