Developed a strange oil leak, its dripping slightly off the passenger side alloy wishbone/strut that goes to the wheel bub. Nothing visable at all from above, I see the oil breather and oil cooler pipes run this side.

The undertray is off so can see where its coming from, is there a sort of overflow valve on this car if say you've over filled the oil?

It only leaks when driving, seemingly the harder the drive the more it leaks, yet no leaks when idling/revved for a long time.

When is the best time to get a oil level reading? Much prefer the traditional dipstick than this electronic reading gizmo!

Any ideas?

sounds like oil cooler in front of the passenger side wheel arch, could be a corroded pipe or the cooler itself, mine leaked and needed replacing, same as yours leaked when driving

is it the bush on the alloy arm it is filled with oil but will eventually stop

Check the oil level when hot and 5 mins after switch off.

That oil is probably from that bush itself as they are oil filled and often crack. You should get thumping over bumps when this happens.

Thanks for the replies guys, its deffo not cam cover gaskets as they are new changed a few months ago, I believe the 2 oil coolers are in front of the rad?, rather than behind the passenger wheel arch trim, I had that off recently to change the alarm unit and dont remember seeing a oil cooler there. Interesting about the oil filled bush, someone I know mentioned that as well, yes it does leak from the rubber bush within the alloy arm, but I dont think its that leaking, as over time its lost quite a bit of oil judging by the marks in the undertray, I think its a split pipe somewhere.
