Cursed E55..front damage

Folks

Another prob with the E55. Reversed in to a garage wall and took out the drivers side wing and complete bumper. Havent had a shunt of any type in 16 years and then this. The excess is £475, plus a claim so Im thinking of reparing myself. Any ideas where to get the front complete bumper, wing, front sensors etc?

AMG bumpers are expensive ....

Is it absolutely totalled ? or salvageable ?

A member on here damaged his AMG front bumper on his r129 SL and it was quoted at over a grand just for the bumper ...

If you can repair it , i would ....

i left it in pieces where i hit it. Smashed to bits. well actually just the plastic casing..all I can see is the metal frame which holds everything in place

Sorry didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news ....

You could buy a normal one off Ebay to get you by for now , and then scour the country for a secondhand one i guess ....

They do turn up every now and then ....

This might do for a bit , coat of paint , and then get looking ....

No worries Howard..Just spoke to my brother who reckons I should shut up and get it done through the insurance plus serves me right for driving like a wally. He's great at the whole empathy game.

I never replaced my one in the end.
Once I pulled the front of the car back into shape, the bumper has a hairline crack in it, which is hardly noticeable

Thursday morning it gets picked up..looking closer the headlamp washer units seem bent too so best to just go with the insurance claim.

Bet the garage belonged to a bloody m3 owner who is chuckling away..

how do i post pics?..it's july 1999 so i think pre face lift.

once you have taken the photos upload them to a site such as Imageshack or Photobucket and then copy the direct links into the thread by then clicking the yellow background square button and pasting the link once the pop up comes. You may need need to disable pop up blockers or Internet Explorer will tell you it has blocked a pop up just click allow. Once you have then posted the message it should come up
