But I sold it for a better one.

My E55 had illegally dark tints on the front side windows when I bought it. Never did get an MOT fail or a stop until it was removed.

Mine looked great with the front side tints....they were not black...bit too dark to risk. Where I live they just screamed "stop me officer"!
Strangely tints aren't part of the test yet...illegal levels or not.

The metallic films are the ones that effect radio signals, most window tint professionals don't use them anymore for this reason. They use dyed films instead. The metalic tinted films are mainly used in commercial buildings, they're also slightly more expensive from dyed films but less than chameleon films.

Yes its still going . Back on its original plate it passed its last MOT with no advisories.
I'm glad the current owner is looking after it.
