Part number please of a D2b loom that is longer than 1 metre but not as long as the run from the Radio to the CD changer.

I bought one on e-bay but is too short amd my phone unit is living in beside the spare wheel so I need to move it to the opposite side from the DC changer

There is a part number of a fibre strand that is suffixed by the length in mm you require. However, the ordered length has to be one of the sizes acutally used in cars, it cant be just a number that sounds good.

To put it in perspective the S-Class has several long runs which may be useful as an orderable size.

Here is an example of items I ordered.

A 000 540 38 08 2230
A 000 540 38 08 2030

The origins of this master ordering code are from the W220 for the installation of individual modules. If you are crossing the entire wheel well of the car then I suspect you will need a cable at least 2.5m (2500mm) long.

If you have one of those lawn edge trimmers with the nylon cord that spins around then you can use that nylon cord to make a measurement.

Thanks. the A 000 540 38 08 2230 (2.2 metres) should do the job. For info the short cable is part no. A203 540 34 08 but no suffix. I was more concerned about getting a replacement that was too long and having to coil it up.

You wouldnt want to mess up a signal travelling at the speed of light by making it travel further than it has to.
