dangers of refilling petrol cans

Must admit, on the rare occasion of filling a can, be it plastic or metal, I take it out of the boot. Not for the reasons above, but because I don't want to get petrol (or Diesel) fumes or spillage in the car!

Also, a tip from experience; when filling a plastic container, always place it on the ground and not hold it. When held, they expand at the bottom a bit, so when you put it down the fuel spills out of the top :doh:
