Dash lights on - what does it mean?

The ABS light is on, and at the same time the ESP light comes on too..

Go to a garage, get the car plugged into a diagnostic system (preferably Mercedes Star ) and get the codes read to see where the problem lies.

Does your ABS work, or your ESP?

The ABS works, I dont know what the ESP is (sorry!)

Traction control...read the hand book.

I aint got a handbook, the previous owner "lost it".... Yes, Traction control defiantly does work.

Probably a brake light switch. Ours was

£8 from the dealers , take your VIN with you , takes 30 secs to fit it yourself.

Worth changing this before you even go to have it plugged in , 90% certain it will be the cause and will save you a £30 diagnostic session.

Howard, it's been a while! ...

One of the police that pulled me over the other day said I had a brake light out actually! .. Don't you love it when work muck up your pay, so your plans go out the window for another few weeks!! ...


Also, still havent found a front bumper yet!! eurghh!

A bulb for a brake light is about 50p

Not talking about the brake light. I wanted to get touch up paint, rust correcter etc... but no, work pay me £200 short.
