Hi,
i have got a high pitch noise coming from the dash area.

The dealer has checked it and informs me that it is either a vacuum pipe with a slight leak on the heater controls or a electronic compnent inside the heater control starting to fail.

I need to remove the dash to check everything, the noise is driving me nuts and i want to effect a repair before the dreaded cold comes back.

Anyone come across this before.

Cheers

Thanks for the info,all sorted.
Removed the glove box and bits and pieces, nothing obvious.
Looked underneath and there is a small valve with two air fittings, removed the green fitting, which pulls a vacuum, blanked the line and the noise gas disappeard.
Everything is also operating correctly.
If any else does this there is no need to reomve the glove box etc.
Just remove two screws underneath the glove box which hold the plastic shield in place, you then have access to the valve.
Cheers
