Dashboard illumination

Hi all,
My car (W210) has been in a garage for Brakes, springs and MOT over the past two weeks. I was out driving it last night and noticed that the lighting on the air vents wasn't working. I'm fairly sure the small white notch in the middle of the dial should be illuminated? The passenger window vent had it illuminated but none of the others did. The rest of the centre console was illuminated fine as well as the instrument cluster. Should the different settings for the headlights be illuminated also?

Could this be a simple blown fuse or likely to be something else?

It's not a major issue but would like to get it sorted.

On a 204 it's illuminated so it's possible that the wire running to it has become detached. When I had the vents out in mine I forgot to reconnect the wire because it's so short it dropped out of sight.
