dashboard light problem

Hey guys

I was happily driving my car into work today when I noticed I couldnt see the
miles/total miles digital display .....

funny thing is all the other lights on the dash are ok , ie the tempreture and the time display etc etc.

I can see the display if i point a torch to it so i know its working , seems like a backlight problem of some sort.

The last thing I remember doing was testing out the cruise control feature

could it be a dodgy fuse ?

I think those panels are illuminated by the standard dash bulbs - so it could just be a failed backlighting bulb.

Worth removing your cluster and checking.

Instructions for removing the cluster can be found in the HOWTO section, under "Fitting chrome speedo rings".
